Which color, the faded sonic blue or sunburst? I prefer the sunburst, but I'm open to the blue. Definitely won't consider a red.

i think they're all ugly lol , mine is CAR , it lives in a sometimes sunny window maybe it will fade to that salmon color ? idk . if i could pick i'd go with shell pink or maybe a dakota red with the matching headstock of course .

but whatever . it's worth it the jaguarillo is a great platform ... it's funny , on paper it's basically a short scale hss strat but it doesn't sound stratty it's really it's own thing .

Honestly, I've stuck. I like the pickup configuration of the Jaguarillo, but apparently the Squier Classic Vibe Jazz's and Jag's are pretty impressive. Been meaning to try a J Mascis Squier model as well. And of course there's the Cobain Jaguar, which plays amazing, but ... something doesn't sit right with me about it.

the cobain is a modern c neck which is a pass for me . deeper carve is a must .

classic vibe jag is a good bet especially if you are planning on modding the circuit , the price isn't too precious . the original jag switches offer quite a lot of options .

i bet the mascis jazzmasters are great out of the box , i like the jm but i'm more or less married to short scale for electric so i'd prob get a mustang instead .

honestly i wish i'd gotten a couple of the jaguarillos when they got cleared out at like 250 new , they are rock solid built to mod and a dream to play .

I believe my jacket size medium tall and, or 39L. Do any leather jacket producers offer this size as a stock item ? Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

Jacket "sizes" vary a lot best to know what measurements work for you. I have 3 jackets that all fit pretty much the same and all 3 are different sizes

Thanks for your reply. For me I do believe trying a size medium tall from a company or two is a good starting place. So far I've only found one company selling medium tall size leather jackets:

Several companies offer "Big & Tall" sizing but their tall sizes almost always start at a large.

Putting this out as a feeler. I've been holding onto this Levis' suede Type 3 the last couple years, even though it no longer fits me. Part of me still wishes to hold onto it, in the event I should lose my double chin. Nonetheless, let me know if you are interested.

I bought it used, but not particularly vintage judging by the label. It's Made In India, but is a fairly hearty cut of suede – about as thick, if not thicker than, the RMC trucker, but fully softened. It doesn't feel or wear cheap. There are mechanical grease stains or the like on the arms which have remained after a thorough cleaning. Personally it's never bothered me. Finally, on of the chest pocket interior was sewn partially shut by the machine. This leads me to believe that this may have been a second, however there is no other defect in the pattern or manufacture that I have found.

You’re thinking of suit sizes, which are a little bit different. I wear a 40L in ready to wear suits and a medium tall in many ready to wear sports shirts.

Nevertheless, standard size 40 and 42 leather jackets have not been too short for me. This has been the case with Vanson, Schott, Aero, Buzz Rickson’s and others.

The only thing to be aware of is that the size numbers on some brands are meaningless; especially the Japanese brands which use English chest size numbers for aesthetic reasons but they don’t actually correspond to those sizes.

But generally speaking, even as someone who owns a bunch, the Japanese jackets usually aren’t worth pursuing unless you want some specific jacket type only produced by some rare brand there, so this matter is academic.

Which kind of jacket were you looking to get? Something that is a grab and go daily wearer that you can dress up or down?

This looks great! If I hadn’t recently bought a leather type III I’d be messaging you for measurements.

Again, like I said, leather jackets are different. You are highly unlikely to need a ‘tall’ size. As a 39L you probably have the stature of a 40R.

Your idea would not be a good starting place.

What kind of jacket would you like? And how much are you aiming to spend?

In the past the regular medium leather jackets I've tried are shorter than I like.
The regular large size jackets I've tried are too big across the shoulders and chest. For cotton and, or synthetic fabric jackets the MT size has proved to be a good fit. So, now I've posted here to this thread asking if anyone knows of leather jacket producers who offer MT as a stock size.
I am open to types of styles and willing to spend between $200 and $1,200.
