I have a somewhat silly question - I have an abundance of #8 and dark brown boots / shoes. My favorite leather jacket is light brown, and I'm assuming mixing the two is not a great idea. Would dark brown or black be a better color combination? Or perhaps this olive green? (This is the Thedi jacket I'm thinking of purchasing)

FWIW, Thedi Cocoa buffalo has reddish undertones. It may work really well with both Color #8 and brown. Picture from Thurston Bros. When I ordered my jacket in Espresso, I was considering the Cocoa color as well, but preferred a chocolate brown.

Senator Mark Kelly wears a lot of leather jackets. There's a lot of faux rugged wear among politicians, but if anyone qualified to wear a flight jacket it would be Senator Kelly having been a Naval Aviator and Space Shuttle pilot. The final pic of of him and his daughter. His jacket has developed a pretty nice patina compared to the photo above it of the same jacket.

Especially b/c dainite is a terrible sole if you want to remain surefooted on anything but dry concrete.

huh? you can have Alden on commando sole or leather and if leather just add protective soles problem solved.

Did you end up getting the jacket? How's the fit? curious. I slept on it, and it sold out in most sizes
Yes, got it the other day. Fit is pretty much spot on for ur Schott size. I’m a S in the 316xschott roughout DR, and S in this was perfect. I’ll try to post a fit this weekend. It’s really great, happy to have jumped on it
