Question: Is this a men's or a women's jacket? It's a 3.1 Phillip Lim lambskin biker. Seller in Japan says it's a "US size 2" ... I think he's confused.

If a man owns it, then it’s a “men’s jacket” and if a woman owns it then it’s a “woman’s jacket.”

and if it is a size 2 you should not buy it, it will not fit

Yeah, but these Lims are particularly flimsy leather with a very heavy belt buckle. I used to own one. We're talking like super thin material. So the silhouette is not as slim as it appears since it's being weighed down by the belt.

I say it looks like an extremely generic Perfecto-style jacket made of unimpressive leather.

Looks to be a men’s jacket, it closes left side over right. Women’s jackets close right over left.

That rule does not always apply with leather jackets, especially not with moto cross-zips. For example, all women's Schott Perfectos, except for a few fashion jacket-oriented ones, fasten left over right. They're still not interchangeable with a men's jacket, though, because they're cut very differently.

Looks nice enough though it’s weird to me that they included some Lewis brand signatures (beyond the jacket design itself) like the sleeve pocket.

I’d personally much rather get an actual Lewis Leathers Dominator in their new black veg tan leather which compares very favorably to Shinki. The workmanship on theirs is incredible too (the reborn Lewis is one of the rare cases where the person who bought out a classic IP improved the quality.)

Speaking of Lewis, I've been really digging their Universal Racer Mk2.

I love this black leather though I think it would great in British Racing Green.

That really is stunning. Can you get it without the badge? I seem to remember that being a possibility when I looked at them some years ago. That leather also looks great, very shinki-esque from that one pic. I'm torn on the contrast zipper tape. It looks good in that application but I'm not sure I'd get it like that.
