I lived in Hawaii for 7 years and never felt comfortable in an aloha shirt, therefore never wore one despite ALL my coworkers rocking them daily.
I used to live there too...

I feel like the only people I saw wearing them in Hawaii were tourists or people in the tourism industry. Admittedly an unscientific observation, though.

I worked/lived in downtown Honolulu. They were the working crowd's uniform.

Maybe we don't need leather jackets anymore if 100 deg weather becomes the norm

Pretty insane. I mean it's going to be close to a 100 in the next few days, here in Vancouver BC. Can't remember the last time it was that hot here.

Maybe this thread will be the " Leather Hawaiian Shirt..." thread in a couple of years.
