Random question about leather jackets in general: So when traveling, how many leathers do you guys take with you? Say you're gonna travel around Europe for a couple of weeks, or visit one location for a week or two, do you take more than one (I'm guessing your fave) just to change things up and give you options? Like say a HH and a lambskin, a moto and a DR, a flight jacket and a varsity?

I usually try to pack light and everything in one carry-on, but I love my leathers and am wondering how I'm going to approach this going forward.
Pack one, then shop abroad, then ship them home to you...

One leather jacket, one water proof jacket if it's in a rainy season or a light cotton or linen jacket if it's in a hot, dry season.

My very humble opinion, the Schott 90 Anniv Perfecto was the best fit here *chef's kiss*. A lot of jackets look too small, which might add to the risk of seam rips.

I agree (though I think the FCL Roberts fits pretty good, too). Problem with the 90th Perfecto is the leather. I hate pebbled cow leather. And it was insulated. I live in Texas so I'd never wear it. Fit-wise, though, it was spot on.

Thats the problem with a lot of the schott jackets, at least the ones I tried on: the insulation. Leather gets pretty warm in sunny weather, even in the bay area, and I figured they would be too warm to wear most of the year.

This is one I'm looking at:

Basically Schott's version of a Minimalist DR in lambskin. The measurements look good too. But I can't find anything on them ever producing this model.

I recognize you keep them open, but I the ones under 20" really don't fit.

Maybe so. But I need to keep the shoulder width at max 17" so ... finding a <17" with a 20" p2p is rare. Here's the FCL Roberts zipped up and pockets also zipped closed (they were open in the above compilation making the waist look wider than it is).
