this one maybe? I considered these since I liked the grey suede but the newer design has the pockets WAY up too high; it looks unbalanced.

I agree, and on a related note I've been really into their suede overshirt lately. Looks like it's an exclusive design for MR PORTER.

IMO handwarmer pockets on a "trucker" style jacket, whether it's a type 1, 2 or 3, doesn't look any good.

I was actually thinking the chest pockets seem high. But overall it just doesn't appeal to me.

I might be biased but their best suede jacket this season is the varsity IMO. Trucker is off this season and overshirt is kinda meh

I rather like how those hand pockets are designed though. Nice take on the type 1 aesthetic.
