I think, I'll just get a second shorter jacket whenever I happen upon a good one that I like the look of. Ill keep this like is, thanks for talking me out of it.

Also regarding the turtleneck roll, I was just lazy, it's the morning here, and I immediately took off my clothes and put on my work out stuff after the pics. Unless it's really cold, it's always folded.

@peachfuzzmcgee Johnson Leather does great work when you give them a design otherwise you’ll end up with a dad leather jacket. I’ve been to the store and the rack stuff is not what you want. Ideally you show him and he’ll come through.

Thank you. I wonder how they shorten the body (separate from the waist band). Like do they have to recut the arm holes? Refold the lapels, or do they move up 1/2" as well?

They move the waist band up 1/2”. Iirc there was something like 3/4” between the bottom pocket zipper tape and the waist band on my TOJ moto. I don’t think it would end up looking unbalanced.

Actually looking through his Instagram, they make some pretty cool **** even amongst the wonky dad stuff.

Once I'm back in the states, I'll try and see if I can make it happen.

Here it is. Fit pics, believe it or not, these are my first ever anywhere. so sorta embarrassing. However I'm making progress is being okay with internet people talking **** to me.

First pants are Nicholas Daley and have like 13.5 rise so pretty drastic. Second is a 70s pair of lee riders which has a rise of 12.

Great to see these. Looking great buddy!

@peachfuzzmcgee - I think the jacket looks great as is. I personally wouldn't touch the length. It may seem like a good idea, but you will likely throw off the proportions. Plus it'll be an expensive hassle with low likelihood of it turning out to your satisfaction. Use that money to buy a jacket you really want. But keep that FCL for sure.

Looks good to me, I'm sure you often wear knits, flannels or whatever untucked so if you feel the high rise vs long jacket is a problem in a specific outfit just do that...

Dunno why but when I wear leather jackets, I feel mysteriously compelled to tuck in whatever I'm wearing. After all the nice compliments, I'll stop worrying about the minute length disparity. It's easy to get neurotic over some petty bullshit.

Although if I see a short vintage style jacket, I might pick it up. The FCL is too good to really let go for just the one thing. Especially since it fits perfectly everywhere else.

Looking for anyone willing to part with their Joe McCoy Western Roughout in the brown/tan colorway, as I have checked with Real McCoy's and they are sold out of this color in my size. I haven't measurements to refer to, but I am guessing I would be a 42 or 44 in this jacket, more likely a 44.

Please PM me if you are interested in unloading.

This is prob a bad time to mention this, but I came across this and thought of you

Not RMC, but made in japan and a suede trucker. Contrast collar and available in 44

Sorry to hear about that theft. Is there anything you can do about it?

Thanks for looking out. It looks like they’re out of 44 at this particular shop but I can scour the Net. Anyone have any info on Double Helix? What’s their brand story?

I’m asking the shipper to open a case with DHL and am also filing a police report so I can file a claim with my credit card. From my experience with a package stolen in Jan, both approaches take a really long time and it’s unclear if I’ll get a ruling in my favor. (Assuming I do, I’m not looking to double-dip - I’ll close one claim or the other).

I’ve already ordered a replacement shirt. The bigger concern is that one of my neighbors, or someone with access to the building, is stealing my ****. It’s only an 8-unit building, so, awwwwwkwarrrrrd.
