I had a brown Brunello Cucinelli leather jacket, reversible to 100% wool. Sold it because I found leather jackets weren't my style.

NMWA is running a pre-order on a pretty cool looking grizzly. I handled the brown version and thought it was really nice. Leather is softer than your usual grizzly jacket. More of a cool fashion take on the style, rather than repro workwear.

This jacket just makes me think of the double-take you do when you see someone and realize they don't have a sweater on, they're actually shirtless and really hairy. Hard pass.

Sounds like maybe you just haven't seen Grizzly jackets before? They're not common, but they're also a pretty classic workwear design.

I've seen them and think they're pretty unappealing, pretty much for the reason I mentioned before. Just because something is classic doesn't mean I have to like it.

I will say the darker brown you post here is much better without the severe contrast between the leather and the shearling.

Not saying you have to like it. Was just unsure if you've seen the design before since you said you'd do a double-take.

You have a long list of things you don't like: shorts, navy sport coats, black double riders, grizzly jackets, etc!

The double-take was a reference to the hairy shirtless guy, not the jacket.

I don't dislike navy sportcoats either...just don't think they're a "necessity". That said, I just don't find it very interesting to write posts that are just agreeing with the consensus. It's a waste of my time and the readers' to just type "yeah, that's nice, I like [blank]". Or it's possible I'm just a disagreeable dick.

Edit to add - Is a list of four things really "long"? I mean, there are a TON more things than that I don't like :)

How important is full vs half canvas to you for heavier sport jackets?
