Late 1980s Leather Unlimited racer. Been admiring the jackets in this thread for a few years now so figured this was a good time to share one of mine. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing. I think you're exactly the type of guy who naturally looks good in rugged leather jackets. Am envious.

Have you been wearing that jacket since the 80s?

Oh then any comparisons on Vicenza vs. CXL HH or other HH?

Thanks This Ridley is Vicenza actually. I don't have the battered HH jacket yet so I'll have to give opinions in probably 3-6 months when this is all over lol.

FG's collared moto was delivered today.

Really like the goat leather, and overall I'm happy with the fit. If I could go back I'd make the sleeves slimmer, change the zippers to RiRi and nix the chest pocket.

Was going for something like this, and I think on my frame this is as good as I can hope for - SLP skinny wouldn't be a great look.

I have an Aero BR in CXL, and I much prefer it to Vicenza. They're both horse, but other than that they're very different. The Vicenza is lighter with a dry hand (it reminded me of jerky), while the CXL is thick and oily. CXL requires much more of a break in too due to its thickness.

Really just depends what you're looking for, they're both nice leathers. I personally prefer something that's a bit heavier and shows more wear over time.

Good call. Hope you like the FCL better.

Likewise! I think it will be a difficult jacket to dislike. Seems like a great first jacket and plays better with my sense of style.

With everyone buying these FCL jackets, I am curious to hear some more feedback about the warmth of the quilted lining they use. In my mind such a lining must mean that the jackets will be too warm during spring and summer?

As I think I've mentioned before, I once had a LL 391 jacket with quilted lining and it was super warm.

well in sf with 50 degree weather I wore a thermal and undershirt to stay warm in evenings. I do get cold easily though so idk if that helps.

i have worn the jacket with just a shirt and it wasn’t too bad. But once it hits mid 60s and 70s I might opt for a thinner Rick leather I have.
