you can use corn starch as a paste... maybe the contrast grain-out collar is a sensible option. food for thought.

I've never tried it on a suede jacket, but you could try Saphir's Omni Nettoyant suede shampoo. It's a gentle cleanser designed for suede shoes. I've had OK luck with it on suede shoes, although I imagine a suede collar is a tougher job.

This stuff works great. I've used it for years on suede shoes -- it's gotten out indigo stains, cooking oil, red wine. So I'd give it a shot on an oily/dirty collar. A few tips: wet area with warm water, almost saturate, then work in the cleaner with a toothbrush or the brush that comes with it until it lathers. Really work it in. Rinse with warm water and let dry, then raise nap with a horsehair or badger brush. Repeat as needed. If that doesn't work I'd try baking soda paste.

Any good experiences with dyeing? I'm looking to get my grey/taupe ToJ dyed black, but can't really find any place yet that does it professionally.

Band collar DR looks good, I can't quite make out the name off the maker, who makes it? @Benesyed

Buzzards? Never heard of it. I like the zipper position better on this than falcon

Fog City Leather dyed my suede safari after I tried to clean it myself. Only cost $150 and an 8 week wait. It lost a bit of its initial softness but would recommend.
