Hard to judge 5-zip quality through pics tho

Lol why would you replace brand new zippers. YOu talking crazy. The jackets is thick and substantial def a f/w piece. I was hard pressed to find any differences between the made I Italy and made in Romania jackets

Thats a great deal for the jacket, dont fuck it up by adding different zippers. All of the 5-zip jackets ive handled, from all origins have had substantial zippers.

I was thinking of replacing zippers on 5-zips with shiny ones, although it might be hard to find suitable ones. That jacket will fit a true XL, and you'll need huge shoulders to fit or relatively small ones for the dropped shoulder effect.

The chest measurement is right for me but I usually wear 18.5" shoulder to shoulder jackets.

I've never tried on 5-zips before so I'm a bit wary of teh fit.

5 zips have a dropped shoulder wouldnt pay attention to that measurement 18.5 would probably be like a 46

could you elaborate on the dropped shoulder? i think i know what you mean. are you referring to the slope of the shoulder line?

I just mean that the intended fit has the shoulder seam hitting lower. The shoulders will measure out to be bigger than what you'll expect in relation to the tagged size and chest but it's just how its designed

its a biker jacket, the extra should width gives more mobility allows wearer to lean forward with hands in front of them. It also should hit right above belt line so leaning forward doesn't cause a unnecessary bunching at the hem on a bike.
