I could see toasty rocking a white leather better than most, he often looks very good in beige/creme color schemes that don't work for others as well

I've washed a couple leather jackets, it's really easy and if you do it right you shouldn't damage it as long as its quality leather. If you see the SZ thread people are washing pretty high end jackets without any worry and not having any damage.

Soak it in hot water for 15-20 minutes

Wring out as much water as you can

    flip it inside out

put it in a washable bag or pillow case

put it in dryer for an hour

let it air dry on a towel or bag

It'll definitely shrink but I wouldn't say distressed but mainly it'll loosen up and leather will become less durable.

In the dryer for an hour? Isn't that way too long? Even in tumble dry, I don't if I would do that just letting the jacket go round and round in there.

That's why you flip it inside out and put it in something so the outside of the leather isn't having in direct contact with dryer I mean you have to check on it periodically because every situation is different but yeah that's around the time that I let in there for.

why the hell would you machine dry a leather jacket!? it's not fabric! there's no weave to tighten up!

I've washed my leather jacket before to remove some odours that had built up over time, with no negative consequences. I did a hot soak in the bath tub for about 15 minutes and then used a very mild soap to clean it (mostly concentrated on the lining and not the leather). During this process a great deal of black dye is released into the water. I then rinsed it with cold water and set it on a few towels to dry. I conditioned the leather twice a day as it dried. Despite losing a lot of dye during the washing stage, I don't notice any difference at all to the leather colour or texture. There was very small amount of shrinkage with this method.

I probably spent a couple hours searching different forums about people washing their leather and they were all generally the same process but the one on sz was definitely had the best instructions for it. Your not completely drying it in the dryer it's still pretty damp when it comes out but heat is what shrinks it not just water.

Does the Mollino, and in general all RO have the backpack type strap in the internal lining? Would be cool if so. Definitely would wear around summer and 'bag' it when it gets humid

That feature was removed in spring or fall 2012 for some obscure reason.
