Posted them 3 times, finally rotated them upside down and posted. I don't know why SF is doing that to me lately.

Sleeve looks kind of weird in that second picture... but yeah maybe when it's broken in (Which sounds like will take awhile) it might conform better. Seems like a reasonable fit!

Thanks guys. Yeah, the sleeves are stiff and the thing was hard to put on. You can kind of also see the chest puckering simply because the hide is so thick. I'm pretty sur it will break into a custom fit.

I prefer to spend money on quality materials and workmanship over brand names. However, fit is king and this is a long-term investment grade piece so if it doesn't fit right from the start...

    Any other comments?

i think it fits pretty much perfect, gonna look sick once it breaks in, and I'm usually not even a fan of motos.

Sounds like it is a keeper. Time to wear it around the house and maybe toss myself down the stairs in it. Thanks guys!

Any recs for an inexpensive shearling aviator - something that is a bit more fashiony than traditional - like these two:

BTW - that Himmel Bros coat looks perfect.

Less than 1500? Is that doable?

Thanks! Wearing it right now. So fall it looks like it is breaking in beautifully. I'm really surprised that a jacket which was MTM for someone else and never picked up fits me this well.

Last year Mr. Porter had a Gucci shearling coat that I almost picked up on the sale but decided to pass for a rabbit-lined one instead. I'm not sure if there is something similar this year, but it is worth checking out.

I really like the look of this jacket. Not sure if it's leather, could be like a Levi's Filson oil cloth I guess. Can anyone i.d. it?
