I purchased this same 5 zip in January from Tres Bien in January. Very thick heavy calfskin, and the gunmetal zips are also very substantial. Lining is sort of scratchy cotton material, doesn't seem like it will hold up as long as the jacket but it's lining, I'm not that worried. I think I have pics up in RP from when I got it (should be in the gallery associated with my account). Overall, it's the jacket you'd expect it to be from Margiela.

that one is LV? hmm.. kind of interesting. It's very clean. You say the material is excellent but everything else stinks. What's the "everything else" part? Just curious. :)

I believe you also own an Intarsia, Parker? Have you experienced any stretch in your L(50) '12 leather? How about the M(48) '11? FWIW we are about the same size but I have put on weight past few months.

Just received an early delivery of my '12 high neck Intarsia in pearl. I am pretty hyped up. However, high armholes (my t-shirt sleeve gets bunched up a little in the armhole), and tight at the hem when I zip up.

For people with RO leathers, can I expect this to stretch much? If I size up to a 52, I think the body would hit pretty spot on but the sleeves would be a tad long (right now it is pretty much perfect). TBH I do not plan on layering, though I think I can layer a coat over the RO  .. and I usually wear my jackets open anyways.

I'd post photos but today is a bit late. Perhaps tomorrow.

Jacket is delicious though (the leather feels really soft and smooth, non-distressed) but whoever said leathers in general went to shit after '09? maybe telling the truth.

Anyways, L(50) Intarsia from Naska S/S12 (still with the body strap!) in pearl is had. :satisfied:

Toasty, I had an oiled calf intarsia in L and it was too big on me. I'm pretty sure I'm bigger than you are.

    I'm 6'2 202lbs and a aw12 52 high neck in washed calf fits me perfectly. It stretched a bit over a year but I wouldn't say it's a lot.

    For the Intarsias,

I reckon you just really need to know your own body type and your body measurements pretty accurately, also ask for measurements for your potential Intarsia.

You can't really gauge if the jacket will fit or not based off what your weight is.

For example someone stated they had a 39 chest, at like over 170pounds? you could have 39 inch chest @ 145 pounds, see how that just doesn't work.

Due to being a very slim/skinny fitting jacket there is many more factors as well.

Your lats will have a huge impact also on the fit, along with your shoulder width and deltoid thickness.
Hell even the circumference of your arm affects it, as the sleeves are really tight, if you want to look like a shrink wrapped sausage you wont be able to wipe your own ass after you take a dump or lift your phone to your own ear.

And if you have a sleightly "rounder" "non atheletic" or very "bulky" body type, I personally wouldn't advise on going for the jacket, it just makes you look even fatter or full of water.

So....try it first if you can.

If not make sure the measurements will work out for your body.

If it's tight around the middle you probably need to lose the extra weight rather than hope the jacket stretches. You should have room to spare in the bottom and then it should be pretty tight as it goes upwards, otherwise like shdws said it's going to make you look fat. I don't know why people say quality has gone downhill, in my experience it's the same now as it was in like 2010 with the exception of the zips and strap.
