I have both lamb and horsehide leather..

FQHH is tough as nails and is heavy. It's thick, water repellent and feels like a suit of armor that can stop a bullet. However, it's not very comfortable to wear (during the break in stage). It can probably last a lifetime and longer.

Lamb is thinner, but is also softer, feels luxurious and is very comfortable against the skin. Something you wear for a few years then move on but love every minute of it.

For me, I would totally rock a paperthin leather in the summer, the only problem is the price tag. That RO costs as much or more than comparable leathers for 1/4 the thickness, and that doesn't sound like a very good deal to me

^ i agree that people should keep an open mind about thinner leathers and i can see they could be useful in the summer, but i tried on this season's band collar RO and really didn't like the 'hand', it simply felt flimsy to me.

THIS is more what I was implying. Not that it was just super thin but that it just didn't feel as good as other RO leathers.

I really like the color, belted back, and slightly Western styling of this Schott 662. It's supposed to be lightweight and slim fitting, and I think it would go pretty well with the untucked button-ups I wear all the time. Not really a standard design like a bomber or DR, so I dunno.

A black one would really work for you, so if you have some spare change I suggest you keep an eye out for it. I will pm you if I see one, if you are interested.

well that would bug me too. I have a thinner rick but it feels like a nice pair of soft gloves.

I wish that the ToJ had not shut down. That is nice stuff, and it seemed like there was something for everyone. There is a continuing need for it. Hope it comes back as has been said.

^I said SS12 as a whole was bad. Never stated that exact jacket and explicitly stated mine was hearsay, so I get a pass on the imbecile-ness. LOL

    (Nevermind, you ninja-edited on me)

In regards to TOJ, not to beat a dead horse, but the zips still kill it for me. The OG TOJ lamb moto I had from back in the day w/ reg zips, was so buttery soft and beautiful, pretty much the perfect moto and I got it for a ridiculous $250 off B&S. Would have definitely kept it if I didn't outgrow it after one season.

Really sad ToJ went on hiatus, was totally intending to pick up 2-3 leathers from them this summer when I had more liquid income. Ah well, life goes on

Some of the ToJ's looked nice but the universal praise in WAYWT for what were at times pretty mediocre to bad fits always confused me.
