it really depends on what you are going for. i would categorize the footwear + leather jacket in to 2 categories: MC/SW&D. People will argue the semantics of this but thats not the point. Here are some examples:

MC - if you are going for a more elegant look and very classic, you can match almost any MC favorites (alden, carmine, etc) with the leather jacket, probably wear dress pants in this category.

SW&D - more casual but could still be sleek, here you would mostly pair with denim
    - boots - you may want to stick to the classic combat boot look and look to brands such as buttero/guidi/marsell (i heard moma on yoox is good)
    - sneakers - i am not always a fan of this but lots of folks in waywt thread go with various sneakers from ann d / raf / MMM to pair with jackets. you can use nikes as well just make sure they are not too loud in color ways.

See spoilers for examples, both are sw&d technically but i feel the first pic is more MC

    Brad Pitt looks real cool

Do the artisans contact the celebrities to get them to try out their clothes and shoes, or are more celebrities getting into the artisan labels? Is this a recent thing or have they always been a few cool odd ones like Orlando Bloom.

Stictly talking about your SZ/artisan, crafted clothing versus designer. I am just really curious. Or is it about the money and they like to just splurge?

Jude Law & Brad Pitt have been rocking CCP leathers for about 5-6 years now, maybe even longer. Jude Law also wears plenty of Julius and Augusta or Carpe as well.

I am curious how they got into the game

Probably word of mouth I assume. I think Johnny Depp should check out CCP et al but he has a good thing going on for himself. His own niche

maybe because they are loaded (i.e. they can buy whatever they like), and it's not a "game"?

cdiem, cdiem offshoots and associated brands are really not about showing how baller you are, but that you appreciate a certain aesthetic and craftsmanship with regards to what you wear.
if celebs have good taste then props to them, if you had infinite cash to spend you might as well get the best, eh? :slayer:

Those guys have people buy them clothes. They have someone that shows up at their house with a truckload of stuff for them to try on. If you are a clothes buyer for an A list actor, it is your job to know about brands like CCP, etc.

Kanye sticks out for being 'into' fashion so = I think a lot of other artists started looking into it as well. But some of them might actually like those clothes since they arent even popular/known for people to recognize.

I doubt Kanye influenced Jude and Brads styles. They have been wearing CCP and Carpe while Kanye was still in his Polo phase.

As caveat said, they have stylists that buys their stuff and stores and designers likely send them out a bunch of stuff for free to try out. Kanyes garage is supposedly filled with free items including tons of clothes and shoes that he got for free.

I remember hearing years ago that Orlando Bloom was quite a regular customer at Eastern Market whenever he visited Melbourne. Also sometimes he would fly to Melbourne just to go to Eastern Market when they got a piece in that he was interested in.
