Must... refrain... from... directing... newbie... to TOJ... yet... again.
Then I'll do it. ToJ my friend
Unfortunately, the TOJ perfecto has been discontinued.
The 2010 DR and MDR tho? much better than a perfecto, IMO
I have a white calf 05AW MMM 5-zip, I was curious as to what products/suggestions for caring for it? It had been dwelling in the closet for a little while and I began wearing it again recently
Yeah new Rick on Mr Porter Europe...seeking a leather jacket and liked this but will probably just go black/dust
Schott does custom sizing
But its not a perfecto, is it? The guy said he wanted a perfecto, not something that's better than one IYO.
hxh schott does have a "slim" fitting jacket now
i havent tried it personally. i like the way the 613 (http://www.schottnyc.com/products/fit/fitted/one-star-perfecto-leather-motorcycle.htm) fits and feels and looks... honestly it's a classic.. but i was advised by schott that the 626 is the one you want if you want a slim jacket http://www.schottnyc.com/products/fit/fitted/lightweight-waxy-cowhide-fitted-motorcycle.htm
the problem with the 626 vs the 613 is that the 626 is 26" in length and the 613 is 24" which kind of kills the deal for me so choose wisely
you could also check out VANSON leathers for a similar perfecto look but schott is the real deal, it's all in the lapels.......
I had to edit this because of how awesome this looks, need to share it
626 was the one I was looking at before but they only stock S (36" and 26" sleeves), which is too big for me. The 613 isn't slim fit so I'm weary of the jacket billowing around me like a curtain. Would love to actually try on their jackets but I don't think there are carriers in Toronto.
I'll keep looking, thanks.
Kvnkvrd the pic u posted is 626 or 613. Looks good. But I wish lapel could be bigger.
LA Guy mentioned using Obenauf's leather oil to protect the leather. You have to apply thin, even coats if you don't want it to look splotchy, though. It darkens the leather slightly, though, so I don't know what it would do to a white jacket.
Probably fake anyway, no need to care for it. You don't put conditioner into white leather.
how DARE HE offer an alternative suggestion that is quite close to what he was looking for!!
And what actually qualifies a jacket to be a "perfecto" and why is the 2010 DR not considered a perfecto, Rambo?
cool thanks, ill look into that!
I'm confident it isn't fake, may I ask why white leather doesn't need conditioner?
