why do you care if it's "decent for the price" when you buy like $2k worth of sneakers every month

anyway too much stitching and ribbing on a DR = barf

I'm not exactly skimping on sneakers though, just because I buy in big quantity doesn't mean it isn't good quality. So I don't see a reason to do the same with leather jackets.

I'm sending it back on Saturday when I get the chance to drop it off at UPS. Color is fine, I wasn't convinced by fit, styling or quality. I received a TOJ jacket the same day which is IMO heaps and bounds better in all resepcts - while being cheaper and MTM. Looking at them side-by-side, it seemed ridiculous to me to keep the RO - and even more ridiculous to me that people would pay retail for this stuff

I agree with you. The jacket I posted was $900 and I wouldnt pay more than $1K for a RO leather. However I love the way it looks. Hoping the intarsia breaks in the shoulder in which case ill be in good shape.

Speaking of TOJ, never really considered them but Ill probably pick one up in 2012. Ive heard only good things about the brand. Which jacket did you pick up?

This is my 6th ToJ purchase, I have a few different styles from bomber to Harrington. This last one is a very simple black lambskin DR without all the hardware you usually see on a DR

I hope you're not planning to style the RO like that...

So far it was the olive lambskin harrington - but I feel that the new DR will be king of the ToJ closet going forward. It's still pretty cold though so the bomber will be worn quite a bit - love the big shearling collar

darker / more agressive clothes IMO. No khakis, brown boots, ugly t-shirts. I have no idea who you are other than those pics so maybe you wear other stuff, but if that's your kinda style maybe these TOJ's would suit you better:

I don't own either of those, but I do own a bunch of TOJ and RO, and TOJ is indeed very nice. Love my 2010 DR.

NAMOR - your Intarsia looks rather boxy from your pic. Did you size up? I see RO fits better on tall slim folks. And mostly darker color tone pairing. What type of leather is that?
