Like $5500 less? I don't want to drop much more than that on a leather... :embar:

I forgot to mention Layer-0- he made some really nice leathers with Guidi leather this past season. You probably could find one for sale somewhere.

I will take a looksee... I think designers don't make size 46/56 because too much leather is needed

Moo - you gotta go old school - Schott, Vanson, Aero, etc. At least, that's all that I've been able to come up with from my research. Unless you want to drop big bucks.

I have a Goodwear, so I know what you mean. Going Aero, Goodwear, Lost Worlds, etc. is much cheaper, but they don't make anything that looks like RO style - sleeker, etc. Unless I am wrong?

Kent, seriously, If you bought a TOJ VTG and had it dyed black it would look pretty similar, and you wouldn't have to deal with metal bits falling off. It's not like it would be "too pussy" a leather compared to the horse, or anything. You could also always add the clasps yourself, if you couldn't live without. I've considered this a couple times, btw...

Seriously, though, I don't want to sound like a TOJ shilll or anything (I know I already do...), but that VTG leather could be way more Goth than people are thinking, it's not really "Americana" at all. You could easily wind up with something in line with a bunch of this highbrow italian stuff, especially if you get a one-off dye job, which I think would look awesome. Maybe that sort of black/off green color that a lot of the a1923 products have? Also, MtM is a perk for those of us who are not tiny. Usually "Just buy TOJ" is really not the answer to anything in this thread, but I think the VTG honestly could be.
