really nice, i really like the black trim

btw this style suits you a lot more better than the julius and co jackets you have

maybe its the howdie doodie face, plus the fact you are so innocent looking , and lets not forget that gleaming smile which tbh, sometimes freaks me out

First horse leather, and not too familiar with the material, but there's a lot more nicks, scars, and color aberrations the leather, more noticeable because of the light color. I don't mind these in the least, and you can't tell other than close inspection. I'm assuming this is because the leather from horses is not taken from young horses. It feels similar to calf in strength and stiffness, but a bit denser - it has a very, very fine grain, which is quite cool. It's already starting to fold quite nicely around the pockets and arms as you can see from the pictures.

The reason I'm so stoked on it is the absolutely beautiful caramel color. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it's not a flat color - the tint varies across the jacket which gives a cool texture upon close inspection.

My only issue is that the jacket is a bit "squeaky," caused by the slightly stiff, slightly shiny leather. I'm hoping this will go away as I wear it in.

Also want to point out that the ribbing and cuffs are top-notch, best I've felt, waaay better than Rick. Overall construction is great, with a heavy Riri M8 zip, nice snaps, smooth lining, well-stitched with heavy thread.

Here's a picture showing the fine grain, color variance, and some of the scars present on the leather:

Yeah horse is by far my favorite leather outside of anything exotic that I haven't experienced. Oiled horse in particular :) It can be supple, is substantial and durable as hell. My horse leathers do squeak though but that's mostly because I haven't worn them enough yet to break them in fully. Looking forward to fall coming back!

Still not a fan of that particular wjk jacket :/ primarily because of the epaulets and the pockets, but I think it suits you quite well and works with a lot of the other stuff you own! I'm glad its working out.
