Yeah, I've done some sewing on leather and getting that symmetry and balance between pieces, the clean edges, almost no bumps at the seams, and the even stitching is damn hard.

Who was looking for a tan suede trucker with leather collar? I was browsing a site to do an exchange and came across this Nudie called “Danny”.

Just measure the chest and shoulders on a jacket that fits you well. The measurements are on the site

I've coveted the suede trucker for awhile. Kept my eyes open for and really didn't see a lot out there in my size, other than the Real McCoy's variation, which I deemed not for me. Finally I found a dirty Levi's one that was probably from the early oughts and wore that for a bit, before growing out of it. Have kept watch since then, and in the end it seemed that getting a Levi's make, even recently-manufactured, was as good as anything else out there.

So I just received a suede Levis Type 3 trucker from 2023 or 2024 that I paid $500 for. The last extant one in my size on the Internet, which I'm glad I caught since I think they release these somewhat inconsistently. Nice, thick suede, probably split (it's lined), with decent snaps and a fairly flattering pattern. Collar could be a little more pronounced.

It's Made in India, so perhaps no different than ordering from Five Star (which would be about half-price), but something tells me having the Levi's pattern helps ensure the output a little. I also benefit from this make-up being a "relaxed fit", which means it fits me even in a sized-down XL. I've found that typical Type 3s are usually too tapered in the body for me.

Five star, suede is ok though the contrast leather collar feels very very very meh, fit is boxier than Barbanera (this is XS and I’m usually 36) I think this would do for now but if I see a darker Barbanera Ennio I would still buy it

I’ve always found the 5* sizing chart bewildering, the measurements seem monstrous.

Typical 5* fit. Collar hole too big, jacket too long for the style, ...
But at least the buttons look better now and hopefully don't rattle like they used to. All to my taste, of course.
The good thing is that you know what to look out for next time.

I have a rough out from rugged west and there is a world of difference when I think of my 5* trucker.

No rattle issue, styling wise agree with you, also not as obvious but shoulder is abit too stuffy for lack of better words (more square ish)

Edit I don’t think it’s “bad”, and mobility wise I expect this to be more practical than Barbanera which tends to run slim
