Got my Savas jacket. I ordered it during an LA trunk show in December, since the timing of a trip I was taking happened to line up. Working with Savannah and team was a great experience, and I'm thrilled with how the jacket came out.

The jacket itself is a made to measure version of their Noone bomber, with a blue suede that I believe could also be used in the reverse. My customizations included a purple wool flannel lining instead of the silk they typically use, so it would work in colder weather. Did rose gold hardware, and specced the cuffs/waist in a lighter blue color with the yellow lines (the lines are optional).

That looks great! I love the color. I discovered Savas in 2019 when they still only did bespoke. I think I'm going to do a tan suede legend jacket when the time comes. I'm thinking 2023 will be the year for it.

What was the process like? I'm familiar with the bespoke process with the multiple fittings. For MTM did they start with a fitting garment and make adjustments or did they take your measurements and create your own fitting garment?

So the first step - I went to one of the Los Angeles trunk shows. Savannah had a bunch of different try-on jacket models/sizes, plus a selection of leathers they were doing, plus all the different hardware and such. I picked out a model, tried on a couple jackets to find a starting size, then got measurements taken.

Since the try-ons were sitting off the back of my neck, they ended up shipping me a canvas jacket based on my measurements that was pretty complete - it included the pockets in the size/placement they'd be doing, knit cuffs to get the sizing on those - basically the whole nine yards. It sounds like this step isn't done for every MTM. The jacket came with a whole kit of safety pins, measuring tape, etc. that we didn't end up needing to use. We just did a video call and there were a few minor adjustments (such as making the cuffs tighter).

Whole process took about 3 months - I ordered in December and received it in March. Everyone I dealt with throughout the process was very pleasant.

Thanks for the info! It sounds like a pretty easy process. I'm a few hours from Nashville so planning to go in person rather than the virtual process they offer.

Chelsea and side zip would definitely work better but I think this suede tassel looked better than I expected (like I think this suede tassel looked better than say some CP like minimalist sneaker or GAT)

I suppose I’m taking inspiration from Barbanera (these tassel are Barbanera and I beat them up, but yea it could have been any CM brand and no one would know)
