Not exactly, in your scenarie they dont know better. Impolyt_ones girlfriend obviously have some experience, that being said, of course some details might go unnoticed. Would be nice to have some completely independent reviewers, almost noone cannot help to fall victim of a bit of brand whoring from time to time.
I don't know what planet you live on but a ccp overlock is one of the sickest looking jackets I've ever seen, just take a look through the leather jacket thread. People who haven't seen it before go crazy. If it's one of the others aka fencing then I can understand.

CCP, when you take away all the rarity value and high price tags, all the fancy words and hype, what do you see? They are heavily processed leather jackets with interesting patterning. This was in Japan, CCP hanging next to a lot of clothes, Japanese and foreign, that all resemble each other.
I have not seen anyone justify why they like CCP with a legitimate reason except for 'I like it because it looks cool' - which is driven by celebrity worship and pricetag hypebeasting. The quality talk is bullshit. I don't want to talk with anyone about quality unless you know what you are talking about.

Do you seriously think "quality" is what drives jacket prices to 10K (or more), it just wouldn't be worth it....

CCP quality is more than decent, which is enough for pretty much anyone to be satisfied, the rest of the price tag, justified or not, comes from other factors.

I'm going to agree with Jet on this one, the overlock and it's successor; the scarstitch are IMO the sickest and easiest to wear of the CCP leathers. The fencing didn't work for me personally (a bit too aggressive & I'm just getting too old)

I actually like this alot (rick shearlings are the only rick jackets that I really desire), it just doesn't mesh with the drapey shit.

LOL[IMG] [IMG]- I guess I wanted the gloved one more than the fencing.

BTW- I hope you are getting our friend's Overlock. It's going to be stunning.

CCP is great for scaring people
If I was Kunk I'd deck out in it and be the neighborhood boogeyman, frightening children

Looking for an 'entry level' leather and saw this, any opinions? http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk....php?p=2701388 Or should I just step up to Julius/RO? Problem is I live in Australia and trying on anything is near impossible in XS/1, so I'll have to do a bit of guessing
