An extra 1.5" in the chest and those rips wouldn't happen.And for anyone curious, these are not true biswing panels on the arms. They're like half sewn shut. They're weird in that they provide no additional flexibility yet would appear so. Hence, they can rip inside but unseen from just looking at it.

Comes up occasionally on the Schott boardTo be honest, I don’t think you’d see tears like that with a Schott or Vanson and those are like a fraction of the price. Your bones would break before the jacket would, if you sized down too much.
