A jacket like the 3Sixteen x Schott jacket, and the RRL Schott jacket do represent a special value, because they combine rock solid construction with the materials that make brands like RRL, or CCP, for that matter, very interesting.

I noticed as of recent schott has been expanding with their flag ship stores. I always knew of them and knew their quality is great. I just Never found a particular jacket of theirs i loved. However, the collab did exactly what I wanted out of a rider and as you said it gave the schott a special value.

Wouldn’t be surprised if schott started doing special leathers at some point.
They already do some. It's not as though they don't already have a wealth of collaborations with anyone from Supreme to Stussy to RRL, to draw from.

That said, I wouldn't ever look to Schott to do the stuff that RRL sometimes does. Even when other brands seek out Schott to work with them, it's always to do some version of an iconic jacket. If you want impeccable craftsmanship, or handiwork, or whatever, you have lots of other brands that can do that. What Schott offers is straightforward, sturdy, construction and iconic pieces.
