I don’t think it was that. People still bought the jacket in spite of the delay which were out of Thurston's control. It was the collar gap that probably killed interest in it and the increase in price as well.

Should I raise the upper zippers or kill it? How’s about the red contrast, thought it might get darker after a while so I did light red there. Maybe I should do some distressing afterward?

I hope you and your ugly jackets go extinct instead of the elephant

Certainly I hope to go out earlier than the elephants. Living could be such a pain if you’ve seen enough. If it makes you feel any better, I only use whatever skins available to me. I don’t go out to hunt or kill because of my admiration for their skin. I sourced my leather from a muslim guy and he has this praying ritual for the slaughtered animals. The rest I bought from American dealers. Most of the animals were killed for different reasons but not mainly for their skins. For elephants, it’s never their skin but ivory that hunters and traders are after. My preference is clearly not everyone’s cup of tea. As I believe leather is a great footprint of one’s life, I enjoy natural and rough textures of the skins that I sourced and made from.
