This moto bomber combo looks cool. On sale at Neighbourhood for under $1000 if you use the checkout code EXTRA15. Note, the prices show up in CAD, so you have to manually switch them to USD if you're in the US.

early flight jackets were double breasted albeit button closure... i think the aero bootlegger is a great example of a hybrid style with zip.

i'm not a fan of that ^^^ one, don't care for the arms and ribbed cuffs. i'm really digging the mouton tho.

I'm actually going to post a recent purchase that, for me, ranks among the best/most interesting I've seen (and owned). It's a Rick Owens moto intarsia, so fairly standard--if highly impressive--pattern, details, etc. Super slim cut, high armholes, perhaps among the most flattering moto style jackets around. The leather is "metallic calf." Think blistered leather, but not matte. It catches the light in varying ways but never gets blingy or "too much." It's from S/S 2009 or 10 so some parts are more worn than others; these parts appear to have worn into a highly napped suede-like texture with a green-black tint that is hard to describe. Nonetheless, very subtle and doesn't detract at all.

Looks good man, i've been wearing my calf intarsia, loving it so far. kinda wish the lining was a bit "heavier" so i don't have to layer.

Yeah I notice mine is lighter than my F/W 09 intarsia but with temperatures in NYC hitting the high 60s in February, I guess I don't mind lol.

Hey guys, wondering if bomber would work best on a lean, skinny build? An is Golden Bear suede bomber a worthy investment?

Bombers can work on all sorts of builds. I've definitely seen them worn well by lean, skinny, guys.

I'm not sure that I would call any garment an "investment", but Golden Bear jackets are typically quite good representatives of that type of jacket, and not insanely expensive.

Thanks a lot. I guess by investment I meant that the jacket would last for years and leather would age well. Deciding between Schott and Golden Bear.

While I posted pictures a while back, the Schott NYC Retro North Country Car Coat has been utterly amazing and I have never owned a leather coat that smells anywhere close to a leathery as it as well. Puts my multiple pairs of Wolverine CXL boots to shame in aroma, but that might simply be due to surface area.

Regardless, I have had countless people commend about just how much of leather it truly does smell. The Band of Outsiders Lambskin Anorak comes a close second and would be the perfect jacket if not for the kinda funky thick string around the almost bottom of the jacket.
