All leather eventually stretches. However, some leather will stretch more readily than others, and it's best to just let the leather relax on it's own. If it is something like bison or calf or goat, you are in luck. Those leathers will stretch like crazy. Heavy Steer? It will take a bit more, but sure. Heavy horse? Good luck. I have thrown heavy horse into a washing machine on high, and dried it, and I think that it shrank maybe 1/2 a size, tops.New leather, elbow/forearms too tight. The leather is thick.
