Leather hole puncher

    I have some leather belts that need some extra holes. This is the reason I'm going to buy a puncher. What one would you recommend? It seems the one with the red handle gives a better hole, more even and smooth.

    My dad used to have one similar to the red handle...it worked well.

    You can't tell anything from the pictures. Good and poor punches will look pretty much the same but there's a huge difference in performance. Cheap ones can be quite useless on something as thick as a belt.

    I'd start by checking out Herm Sprenger. Well worth the price. Here's one:

    Don't you guys think it's cheaper to ask a tailor to make a hole instead of purchasing your own one?

    I've bought one in the past but if advise to get it done professionally if it's a dress belt. I've always found that I have not done a great job as expected.

    Depends entirely on how often you have a use for the punch.
