leather care

    so I just got gifted an old leather jacket. It's weird like kind of a double breasted topcoat; but made of really soft leather with almost a suedelike quality. ok so it sounds kinda ugly; but its nice and it fits spot on-the only thing is that the lapels look horrible so the collar needs to remain popped (i'm in chicago so I can get away with this)-anybody know if you can re-press leather? the collar just wants to plop down. thanks
