After pondering buying a Saddleback briefcase for years, I saw this almost identical bag during a visit to the UK - a relative gave me a (small) gift voucher for a store and I made an impulse purchase (paying the bulk of the cost myself!) and flew home to the States as the proud owner of this magnificent bag. And, sadly, that flight was one of only two occasions I've used it - I use a larger bag for specialist equipment in my daily life, and much as I love this leather briefcase I've had to admit I'm just not going to use it enough to justify keeping it. It's made of high-quality leather, sturdily constructed, has a black suede lining, and will last a lifetime and beyond. In terms of dimensions, it's identical to the Saddleback Large Briefcase - http://www.saddlebackleather.com/Classic-Briefcase?sc=8&category=83 - and the colour is dark coffee brown.

I'll take $350 plus shipping (from New York). Happy to supply more photos or to answer questions.

Hey I'm interested but can you send me more photos and details, perhaps the shop that made it?

Hi

Thanks for your interest! I bought the bag from a well-known website while in the UK called www.notonthehighstreet.com - it's a big success story over there, a way for small, independent manufacturers and shops to gain access to a wider market place - here are a couple of links that will tell you more about it:

The shop within notonthehighstreet.com was called Lihara, who don't seem to be on there any more - maybe they only use the site at Christmas? I found this link from the time showing that was the origin of the bag:

I can't tell you much about Lihara other than that the bag is great, delivery was fast, and they included a friendly note with it!

I've included some more close-up pictures for you, one of which shows an iPod and a small Moleskine notebook in the internal pockets for scale. Any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
