I recently decided to buy a navy-pinstripe, double-breasted suit, but I'm still deciding on what shoes should go with it, and by extension, what color of leather. I'm also undecided between gold and silver for the metal. Any recommendations/thoughts?

Oxblood goes quite well with navy or midnight blue. However forget the metal work, this is a more formal suit and odd bits of iron or steel have no place whatever.

Thanks for the speedy response.

So, oxblood oxfords (That sounds funny.)?

And, no cuff-links, tie-clip, watch, sunglasses, belt, or anything else with metal in it?

I was leaning towards this look:

1. A wool, three-piece, navy-pinstripe, double-breasted (The vest, too.).

2. A black and gold belt for when I'm not wearing suspenders.

3. Suspenders for when I'm not wearing a belt and vest.

4. Dark navy socks.

5. Black oxfords (Round-toe, lace-up, and cap-toe.).

6. A white, Oxford, French-cuff shirt.

7. A gold tie-clip.

8. A gold and black watch.

9. A white, silk pocket-square.

10. A navy-and-white, diagonally-striped tie.

11. Gold cuff-links.
