I've now picked up 2 random pieces from this brand (pants and a jacket) because they were in my size and on closeout sales. I needed these two staples, so even though my reaction to the image was "meh" i figured I'd try it.

Really impressive stuff in person. Pictures don't do it justice.

Is it just me or DBF look like a high-end version of APC? I know the pieces are made in Europe using top tier materials.... but they don't really look that interesting.

Have to see it in person. APC is trash...this stuff is way better

As I think other people have said in this thread, it's not a brand that comes off well in photos on the internet and really needs to be experienced in person.

I'm kind of boring so I generally like APC (aside from the price/quality ratio, since it's priced way higher than it deserves to be), so the idea of a higher quality version APC appeals to me anyway. I don't own anything by DBF but the few things I've handled were really nice, and I'm hoping to get a coat at some point.

Judging just the pictures - I agree with you.

But the IRL quality of DBF is so good. I really recommend trying this stuff on.

I'd recommend their knits and outerwear specifically. I have a few coats and a shearling from them that is superb.

I got the clay red linen oversized shirt. Too bad the matching pants are OOS in my size or I would have kopped the full leisure suit look.

Yeah, their selection is oddly small. I’d go for the essential shirts in linen, but not the oversized. Very few shops have the essential shirts in linen.

What's wrong with the oversized? Was thinking about picking one up (down a size)
