The older 38 and this year's 39 aren't quite the same, at least in the past few years. I have a 38 from last FW and it's measurements are consistent with those from this year's 38s, which, for American markets at least, seem to be an XS on the rare occasion they're even stocked here. The 39 measures larger.

You're right, I may have stretched my older shirt out a bit. It looks like the lettered sizing corresponds to the neck measurement in CM (which would have been the old numbered sizing).

I found the measurements on the DBF website to be pretty accurate:

Bought a pair of trousers on Mr. Porter last week, and they’ve gotten a further reduction now ?

Anyone interested in picking up the 3D washed wool coach jacket in size IT48? I bought it used off eBay. It has seen a bit of wear, but no major visible damage or anything. I also had it cleaned and then defuzzed it so I think it looks better than when I got it. Then I put it in my closet and haven’t worn it! Too many jackets. happy to post more pics or answer questions. $400USD + shipping OBO.

can you post more pics

I hope these help. If there is anything you want to see in particular, please let me know. The original listing indicated some discoloration on the lining fabric, but once cleaned, it seems to have mostly faded. I wanted to provide a close-up, but that one looks a little wonky. You might be able to zoom?

Their fall/winter stuff is better. Their knits and outerwear is the best stuff they make. Have a number of both. Going to check their stuff for next winter today.

Picked up the Relaxed Jacket off the Mr Porter sale. The recycled wool is super-soft, as advertised. Might have the sleeves shortened just a tad but otherwise perfect.

Some cool shots of it here:

How do you find the fit on this jacket? True to size?

Yeah, TTS. I take a 38 in the Essential Shirt and took a 46 for this piece. Fit is relaxed and slouchy given the lack of structure. Think sizing down is technically possible but wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

Thanks. I'm a 39 in the shirts, medium in the architect jacket, wondering if the 48 will be too slouchy. Seems like I'm right in the middle.

I'd say TTS (the 48 here) will get you the webstore fit and sizing down would get you close to the Mr Porter fit.
