Hey guys - For those who have a pecora nera sweater...how warm do those get? Assuming not as crazy hot as alpaca?

percora nera just as warm if not warmer imo . Have the pecora nera taupe from last season and a wool/alpaca mock neck from a few seasons ago. Pecora Nera was less airy than the alpaca mix.

Interesting new tunic style from DBF. Looks quite oversized so possibly difficult to wear, but cool nonetheless

@DeBonneFacture_Team have you all thought about putting out more kind of casual worn by content by the staff or team?
I like the product/model pics and the lookbook of course but I definitely find the “worn by” content a lot more informative in terms of how things really wear and fit and move.
I’d love to see more frequent kind of things like that of what the actual DBF team is wearing or how they put things together to kind of highlight the product. I’m not sure if Déborah herself would feel comfortable doing that as well but I think one of the first things that really got me into the brand was seeing her and her personal style (which is amazing to be clear), so seeing her and other staff members wearing collection items would be really cool to me.
Whether it’s on the Instagram account or here or wherever else. I know there’s a lot more thought and effort (and probably cost) with putting together the “worn by” editorials but just quick shots and casual pics like that would be awesome

Alright, sizing question for the Grandad Coat. Bought one a couple years ago but the material never grew on me so resold it. I took a 38/48 and it seemed perfectly oversized. I'm 5'7", 170 athletic, with larger lower body, and always been a tweener in chest sizes between 38 and 40, but in the last year definitely moved to 40. My sport jackets are 40S from Suitsupply and S&M, and I can no longer fit into a 38 from either company.

The navy grandad is calling to me but I am perseverating over which size to take. I fear the 40/50 may just be too large of a coat for someone my size, and my past experience with the 38/48 seemed correct. Sizing advice from retailers varies: Greg at NMWA is adamant you take actual chest size and NOT size down (so 40 for me), but over at Division Road they recommend 8 up from your actual chest size (so 38/48 for me). Another point of comparison: I have the PS x PWVC balmacaan in a size 4, so their 40, and it fits great. Half chest on that one is 56.5. Grandad is 48 is 59; 50 is 62.

Here are the pics from a while back of the 38/48:

I'm also a 40 chest and prefer a large in dbf sweaters but I got a 38 in the granddad coat. A 40 might have more of the intended drape but I have no issues with any layering in the 38 and I like the length.

The fit looks great here. BTW I have the Granddad coat in that fabric and it is probably my favorite item of clothing.

I would go for 48. I'm afraid 50 could be too large in armholes and arms. I have 50, I am 180 cm tall and guess I have about the same body type as you. 50 is good for me over chest but still a bit large in armholes. There is still some room in chest as far as I can tell from pictures.

If you're a 40 chest, get the 40 for intended fit. If you want t trimmer fit, size down.

FWIW, I usually listen to Greg's sizing advice

Thanks for the input everyone. I would also normally take Greg's advice; it's only this time that I'm questioning it. There was definitely quite a bit of room in the chest of the 48, and I'm afraid that a 50 at my stature might overwhelm me.

I also agree that DR's past sizing advice for this coat was bad. I mean, they sized down two to model the version I had in the past, which looks terrible IMO: DivisionRoad_DeBonneFacture_056_1d3170b5-db90-41be-bb4a-ddb34c03e9fa.jpg

By contrast, this season they have someone about my size with 40 inch chest wearing a 38/48 layered over a shirt and sweater, which I think looks okay:

Do we think these last two might look better if they sized as a 40/50, instead?
