Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and need some advice regarding the fit of a Lazio grey check suit bought from Suit Supply. I'm wearing a 36R in these pictures. I also ordered a 38S and feel the length of the jacket fits a little bit better, but perhaps a tad too short in the sleeves. The trousers, however, was ridiculously big.

Height: 172 cm (roughly)

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Please excuse the t-shirt and socks...

Personally, my concern is the jacket length. According to articles online, the jacket length should reach the middle knuckle of your thumb when hands are relaxed/or slightly raised on the side.

What do you guys think? Is this an alteration that can be done by a tailor? The pockets sits high, so I think it can be safely shortened by about an inch.

More advice. Only try on the suit with a proper shirt and proper shoes. It's not helpful to do it barefoot with a t-shirt. :thumbs-up:

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind :bigstar: Unfortunately, they are out of stock on the 36S and most other three piece suits which I was looking for. Can you recommend any other reasonably priced slim cut suits? Price below 850 USD/ 700 USD.

Also, you don't think I should even consider altering the length at a tailor?

No, definitely not. Know your correct size, and always buy it. Learn this lesson now and save yourself a lot of money and aggravation for the rest of your life.

Go to the SuitSupply website and pick another suit in your size, which is 23. That's a 36s in American suit sizes.
