Went into Macys the other day and they were clearing out a line of Lauren silver label suits that I had never seen before in that store. They are "Trim Fit", half canvased, a wool cashmere blend that has a heavier feel and weight. macys only has them in 3 colors. A black charcoal, a medium gray chalk stripe and a plaid. They also had some sport coats but my interest lies with the suits. Originally in the $600 dollar range, Macys is clearing them off at 65%. Plus next week on the 21st they have an additional 25% on top of that. The suit comes out roughly to about $167.00. I'm not familiar with this particular line so I'd like some feedback from you guys. This is not meant to be a Marquis suit for me...but it seems decent for the price. Please no info on other RL or Polo lines....I already know about those. Just want to know about this Silver label that Macys claims as exclusive to there stores. Thx

not knowing anything about this so-called silver label, i'd be wary of anything that is exclusive to a store. that said, how's the fit and cut?

Fit is ok...would like slightly more natural shoulders. Might try a size smaller just be thorough. Only going to use this for rare informal work situations. This will not be a go to suit

I saw these a few years ago at Lord & Taylor. Some of the suits appeared to try to copy Polo style (soft shoulders, forward pleats) as opposed to the Green Label which just has a generic, oversized cut. I didn't realize they were half canvassed. I tried on 2-button suit but it felt off, I think because the button stance was too high. If it fits you well then it's a good suit.

The pants are flat front and seem cut decently for a leaner look. Trying to see if there is another store where I can find a 36s to compare to the 38s I tried on. Still curious to know if there is more feedback from the rest of you out there about the silver label. Thanks to Matt & Funlovin for your comments so far.
