It doesn't feel lke it's been on THAT long but I'm kinda bummed that it's got one more season and this last one ended badly. It's obvious they did it to build up to the last season but geez, guess I'll have to really dig into Boardwalk Empire and How to make it in America.

Anywho discuss your thoughts on the end of one of HBO's top rating shows!!!

Started going downhill at season 5 sadly, and 6/7 were disappointing.

Can't stand how they put a dark twist into it just seems like it's not the same show anymore. Last season is supposed to have only 6 episodes I heard? Will be interesting to see what happens and what the movie is like.

Really started sucking around the time they had to move into Drama's condo.

They needed fresh writers and a new producer by then - I don't mean Wallberg but someone who could control the direction of the plots.

I liked the first season, after that I could basically re-watch it, and be up to date on whatever season was currently showing. It just became to repetitive.....

The real coup is how these one-dimensional actors can get such a sweet gig and the fake lifestyle for so long.

so glad it's coming to an end...maybe this time it will give the writers an actual end-game/goal to work toward.

Wild prediction:

Vince becomes further disgraced by Hollywood.

Drama's show becomes huge hit.

How ironic.

I got rid of HBO a few years back and as a result haven't watched Entourage since the end of the 5th Season, which dealt with the failure of Medellin, the Smoke Jumpers fiasco and the ending call from MartinScorsese to Vince.

However, I see the reruns once in a while on Spike TV and they are interesting because the show strikes me now as a historical relic of what the world was like before the financial markets collapsed and we entered the Great Recession.

I did hear that there might be a movie once the series ends, a la Sex and the City. Is that still the case?

I think so. I'm not sure how much better Entourage the movie would be than the show.

The show completely and utterly sucks. I started out loving it, grew attached to the characters, and then watched both of them turn into nothing.

that said, I will watch the new season and I would see a movie if they made it. Though I really don't see how entourage could translate into a major motion picture. doesn't seem like it could work.

Can we get an official thread for the final season? I am seeing multiples. Moving on...

Not sure why the hate. Yea last season was dark and ended on a bad note-Welcome to Hollywood. I do not have a problem with it. I think it makes it ore realistic. Hell look at Amy Winehouse. Sometimes it seems like people expectations are unrealistic.

@Bradford-Umm..we entered the recession. Most of the Upper Class did not. There are still plenty of people living the good life.

Bring on Season 8! Sucks it is coming to an end.

When does the final season start?

Tonight.

The show's main demise is its 20 minute run per episode. Their so much they can do with this show if it was given the full HBO treatment and was not so rushed. They try so hard to bring in other actors from the real world and incorporate them into the show to try and gain some appeal for a broader audience and to keep those already watching interested. I hope the movie is partly a 'Vince' movie where the end of this season they move into filming it, and also partly Entourage. I can't shake the feeling that it won't be good unless someone dies, and that person has to be Vince.
