Hello,

I have visited this forum a number of times, but never posted. I have a trip to Las Vegas coming up on May 22nd and need help. I don't want to look like 3000 other guys with a flashy button up shirt.
Currently I like to wear Stussy shirts, dark wash jeans and sneakers. I want to keep my overall look, but make it work in Vegas. I am athletic build, about 6' tall.

So far I'm thinking of getting a sport coat in light color and a couple of bright color v-neck shirts. So please help me out.

Thank you

with a sport coat and v-neck, you will still look like 3000 other people in vegas.

Don't worry about how you look, it's vegas. You'll see people wearing anything and everything. Where what you're comfortable with, and you'll be okay.

Wouldn't I run into problems when trying to get into clubs like Tao or one locate in Wynn (I think Tryst)? I bet a t shirt would be fine if I had 3 models surrounding me, but I'm going with 3 buddies...all of whom are wearing sport coats. Which is the reason for this thread...I don't want to blent in, but don't want trouble getting into clubs.

Also I don't mind bright colors...actually prefer that or black. Neutral tones don't do it for me.

if you're going with 3 other guys, you're going to have a hard time getting into clubs anyway- but that's a separate discussion.

A button down is just fine for vegas. Bright, flashy, whatever. You'll see people with blazers too. I also saw people with affliction and ed hardy style shirts. This was around new year's eve time.

Thank you. I am planning on meeting few girls to make club entry a bit easier.

Might have to hit up smaller boutiques to find button up shirts that are more unique. I laugh at guy who wear Ed Hardy, there are usually a handful at a bar/club on a single night.

Like so many things in life, the answer to this is the swiss army suit. That way you'll be ready for anything.

If that's not an option, then wear whatever you're comfortable with. If you want to get a blazer, get a blazer. Then wear a button down underneath it and you will be unique.

Mate, it's getting very hot here in Vegas - in two weeks, I don't think you'd want to be wearing no sports coat to a club. A good shirt, jeans and smart shoes and you'll be good.

i ve walked by Tryst several times and the lines of what ive seen, you dont need to wear a sportcoat or a suit to get in.

dont get a sportcoat /blazer, just for the purpose of this vegas trip. from the sounds of it, you are going to be hanging out with the younger crowd and be where they hang out, so you'll be pretty disappointed if you get some beer spilt on you or some cigarette ashes sprinkled onto your blazer.

Thanks. Guys! This will be for my 26th birthday. Definitely don't want to be sweating at the club in my sport coat. I'll look for few more fitted shirts. I have one with plaid pattern, black and white. I might look for few more similar to that, but with brighter colors.

They're not going to let you in with sneakers and a T-shirt.

I will save sneakers and t-shirts for walking the strip and hitting the casinos. Just bought myself a plaid fitted button up shirt (Road 51) from a small boutique not too far from my house. I really want to find a nice pink shirt to wear, either plaid or stripes...but having trouble finding one that actually looks and fits good. Most end up being too wide at the bottom and remind me of a parachute behind a drag car. Anyone can point me in the right direction?

I just got back from Vegas two weeks ago and I have to say Tryst is THE place to go if you like dresses so SHORT and TIGHT to wear they can't even walk without showing you EVERYTHING if they don't pull them down every couple of steps and with cleavage down to their navels... AWESOME!

But you have to get there early because the line is HUGE, 9 rows deep the whole length of the outside of the club. Don't bring the sand to beach because there's plenty and get bottle service which expensive but worth it.

IMO in Vegas you need three changes of clothes per day.
Daytime sightseeing
Nighttime sightseeing/gambling/picking up chicks on the strip and small bars
Late Night clubbing

During the day most people are tourist and are dress horribly. I wore my RLPL and other designer t-shirts with denim while sight seeing. Wear good walking shoes, I got caught out in Italian Dress shoes during the day a couple times and my shins paid for it. So by going on what you said no major style change is needed.

While preparing for gambling at night I thought Oceans 11 would be the way to go. I wore my 3 button Apt 9 Lamb Skin Blazer high collard Italian designer (Canali Zegna St.Croix) button down Shirt dark Denim and high contrast Canali shoes.

The clubs I went to were Pure (Caesars) Tryst (Wynn) LAX (Luxor where I stayed) Playboy/Ghostbar (Palms) Prive (Planet Hollywood).

Vegas Breaks all the rules and what you might consider guido like wearing you sunglasses in a club at night are acceptable.

Tryst- Dark Suit button down Shirt and no Tie
Pure- Sport Coat dark Denim Italian Shoes
LAX- Designer T-Shirt Denim
Prive- Dark Suit button down shirt Italian Shoes no Tie
Playboy/Ghostbar- Leather Blazer Designer button down Shirt dark Denim Italian Shoes
All- Aviator Sunglasses Swiss Watch… Swagger!
Other- moderate jewelry

To Tryst I wore a Black Canali suit with red and ghost pinstripes, my St.Croix black with pink/multicolored stripe/pinstripe button down Shirt and black Nordstrom brand Italian Shoes.

I had great results at the clubs that I do not want to mention here, but Vegas lived up to my expectations and then some.

Regards,
Don

BTW I went to Tryst on a Friday and if you wore Denim you did not get in.

21-40 The age range is pretty wide and anyone who wants to party in Vegas will be there.
