I will soon switch from a car to a bike as my primary means of transportation (moving from a suburban to urban environment). I want a backpack with lots of storage space to transport groceries, goods, etc.

Any recommendations? It doesn't need to be name-brand, I just need something that functions.

^ A military surplus bag is not going to work well with a bike. Look for one of the oversized roll top bags that bike messengers use.

The stores near you don't do delivery? That seems more your style.

I can't do messenger bags, they are rather gay.

Ideally I'd drag a few Goyard steamer trunks behind me but that's slightly impractical.

I like the Chrome brand rolltop bags. Quite nice.

Conne, don't be a tool. If this will be your only means of transportation and you need it to cart groceries, among other stuff, bite the buller and get a used Vespa or some type of scooter. You'll have more options in terms of lugging stuff and you won't be embarrassed when you meet a girl at a bar and ask her to put your bike in her trunk.

LOL I've actually been in this situation.

It's not all that bad, just let the girl in your trunk to return the favor.

Well, I guess it's either a backpack or a new LCD monitor. I'll probably go with the latter and use a shitty Jansport or something.
