Lapo is simply the best.
he doesn't care about nothing and what he does is what is passing in his mind in that time.
I love him..but I really love his grandfather..my avatar..
Gianni God bless you!!!!!

As Lapo is still, for some reason, alive and kicking, I'm bumping this old thread with a caricature my reader drew. Do enjoy.

it seems Gene Wilder..

Personally, I think he gained the major part of the media attenction he has thanks to his family and his... hum... controversial lifestyle.
Of course, he may have inherited some taste concerning style and clothing from his grandfather... who easily wins on the elegance and "sprezz" side.

However, some of his stuff is surely inspiring, in a disturbing way.

I think the glasses are an ode to Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp version).. The hair and hat Mad Hatter (also Johnny Depp version).. Lapo would make a nice Tim Burton character.

Lapo is Lapo...

He is 20% genius and 80% too much money..

A mix of provocation , genius. drug induced creativity and blase attitude..
Lapo can afford the best tailoring and shoemaking and has chosen to be creative and innovative..

He is in my eye most of them off the mark but his more classical outfits can be great..

He is the marmite of the sartorial world.

Really? Lapo was a member here? No user comes up under Moo?

You haven't been around long enough to remember Mr. Moo, who is truly missed.

for those who want to see Lapo Elkann in person, he's going to be at the Pebble Beach Concours D' Elegence car show this weekend

I was supposed to be going, and would have taken pictures if I saw him, but can't make it this time

just an fyi for those who might be there

btw, the Pebble Beach show is probably one of the best events in the country - a must see at some point in your lives
