Lapel vest for wedding

I will be getting this married this Fall on our family's property in a sunflower field and have been thinking about what to wear. I'm not really looking at tuxedos or even a suit since it's going to be an outside, informal affair. I was considering wearing a lapel suede vest (GoldenBear maybe) with a nice tie and maybe cords or dress khakis. First of all, is this even a fashionable thing to do and secondly, I was worried that the satin back and adjustment belt may make the outfit look unfinished without a jacket. My main goal is to find an outfit that reflects a country (rural, not western) wedding and has a unigue look with some earth tones, not something cookie cuttered out of a bride magazine. If anyone can advise me whether this is would be acceptable apparel or any other ideas, I would certainly appreciate it.

Without a jacket, the back would look unfinished. Why not wear a vest in suede and/or brown with a suit and also boots?

Absolutely, if you are a cowboy. Wear something nice, you only have one wedding... well.

Its in the fall, so it should be just a hair cool outside, here's what i'm thinking:

this jacket:

which is a linen, paired with this vest:

with these chinos:

and these boots:

I would go for a shirt like this:

pocket square

Nice set of images, though chinos that one might wear to a lousy office job probably aren't appropriate for a wedding. It's a shame if the lucky man isn't around to see the feedback.
