I'd say they're not, but I'm a bit more partial to a wider lapel than others here.

they strike me as being a bit wide, you might have to be a bit broad to swing it.

Yeah, I agree, it does look a bit dated. I was just a little interested because it would have been nice to add something different to the wardrobe...not a fan of Chaps though.

Oh, gorgekko would be mad if he knew I was using his account after his unceremonious departure.

I imagine 48L would qualify as 'a bit broad.' Would still look quite dated, like you should be off inventing new steel alloys, or something.
