Searched the forum a bit, wasn't very helpful. But how does the current Lanvin in compare to other Italian maker? Both in cut and style...

I have a Lanvin suit I picked up from the Barney's warehouse sale last year -- it's fully canvassed, made by Caruso. The fit is slim, but classic -- not fashion-forward at all. It is very well constructed, but definitely machine-made, not much handwork. In terms of construction-quality, I'd put it on par with the stuff Caruso does for RLBL -- it's a bit nicer than the Barney's house-label Caruso-made suits and coats.

Some of the stuff is made by Belvest as well. Some of the pieces Chorse posted before (mainly jackets iirc) were outstanding.

I've found that some pieces had a stronger shoulder--not really stiff, just not as sloped as seems to be common these days.

I'm still kicking myself for not having made a decision earlier on the jacket in the 2nd photo

How much did you got your for? I seen one made by Caruso last week at LA for $600, and wasn't ready to pull the trigger on it.

I bought a Lanvin suit from eBay for the princely sum of £10. It’s pretty nice - fully canvassed, excellent condition and reasonably contemporary, but the maker label has faded almost entirely. However, can anyone tell me by the label type who made this suit (my amateur guess is Caruso)
