I'm interested in Lands End's tailored fit trousers and whether anyone has any experience with them. I generally like LE's stuff and need to get some new trousers for summer. I'm wondering if I should get traditional fit or tailored fit. I'm a fairly slim guy -- 6', 160 lbs, 33 waist, 32 inseam. While I like my shirts to fit pretty closely, I'm not a big fan of tight pants (on the other hand, I don't want to look like MC Hammer). Does anybody have experience with LE's tailored fit trousers? If so, just how close fitting are they? How do they compare to the traditional fit trousers?

I'm 5'7" ;160 pounds; 32 waist; 30 inseam. I have several pairs of LE Tailored fit trousers - wool and cotton. I generally order 31 waist pants and then have them let out if necessary. This gives me a slightly slimmer fit. Even after doing that they are by no measure 'slim fit'. Their regular pants are quite large in the rise and seat and are unwearable for me.

Hope this helps.

I have several pairs of the LE tailored fit trousers, and I like the fit. Based on your description, I'd definitely recommend the tailored over the traditional fit for you. The tailored fit are slimmer than their regular pants, but nowhere near tight. Their traditional fit is actually quite baggy in my opinion.
For the record, I'm 5'-10", 150 lbs., 32 waist.

EVen the custom program derived tailored fit trousers are sort of unbalanced - definitely not slim fitting...

Did I just comment on a year-old thread? I must be drunk.
