1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

So I ast night I made a complete impulse buy since they offered 40% off of one item. I bought this wool topcoat.

    Have a few questions though.

    1) what do you think of it for a casual jacket?

    2) Im 5'9 170 pounds with a 39.5 inch chest. I ordered a medium, but should I have gotten a small? I often have sweaters on, not sure if they would make a big difference. Im looking for a nice trim fit.

Here are the measurements they sent me.

    Size Small has a garment chest 41", length 34 3/4", sleeve 34 1/2" and sweep 43".

    Size Medium has a garment chest 44", length 35 1/2", sleeve 35 1/2" and sweep 46".

Any help would be great. It wont ship until like the 16th, so I have time to change the size if need be.

I've ordered quite a bit from LE and would describe most of their merchandise as 'good, but not great.' I don't mean that to sound too negative. When they run clearance sales or aggressive promotions like the one you took advantage of their merchandise can be a great value for what it is.

As for fit, I usually defer to the larger option when between sizes. You'll probably need something adjusted by your alterations tailor and OTR garments usually don't have much material for letting out. If it fits like a tent, you can't beat their return policy. They'll replace it with the smaller size and you can drop the original order off at your local Sears for free return shipping.

You can probably do better than Lands' End Canvas at that price. As a matter of fact, you can probably do better at mainline Lands End.
