I just cleaned up my old LL Bean Maine Hunting Boots with saddle soap and was getting ready to put the laces back in, but I thought they might look cool with the straight-across lacing I've seen, rather than my standard criss-cross style.
However, I've never actually laced a pair of shoes this way and the sites I Googled are confusing as to what to do.
Anyone have any simple instructions or a good site to look at for this?
If it matters, I have the boots with the 8" uppers and 8-pairs of eyelets.
