I might be in S. Korea for the next year, and was wondering if anyone knew of good places to check out.

Found this site through a link on another forum. Interesting/inspired clothes, but kind of odd "fishbowl" lens effect on their pictures.

Some of it is cool, some of it overlaps heavily with Club Monaco/H&M/A&F, in its various lines.

Shipping is pricey -- over USD 30 for 1kg -- is this standard Korea post?

Just walk around Apgujung and Sinsa-Dong in Seoul, and you'll come across a plenty of shops. Things arent too different from stuff that you'll find in Tokyo or NY... I suggest checking out ZZUBO in Apgujung. There are a lot of custom accessories and shoes too.

Check out Apgujung Dong (Rodeo), Sinsa Dong (Ka Ro Soo Gil) and most importantly Dongdaemun.

In Apgujung Dong, places like ZZUBO sells sneakers along with Premium (Vans, ALIFE, NIKE, Hundreds, etc.), Works Out (Stussy), etc. Higher end goods can be found in shops like Boon da Shop and department stores littered across the city.

Sinsa Dong caters primarily to up and coming Korean designers, so its a good look to check out the local fashion scene.

Dongdaemun is an entire district dedicated to the textile and apparel sector, along with high rise swap meets selling literally everything and anything you can find to your hearts content. Place like Migliore, HelloAMPM, Doota, and street vendors rule this place.
