Does anybody know of a good online guide, reference, and/or a collection of posts about general rules of thumb for alterations?
I am interested in learning about what is possible for alterations, to what extent most tailors can adjust things, and how much alterations typically cost.
For example, if I get a size 40US suit, get fatter and need to go up a size (I assume standard lingo is 1 size = 2 because I almost never see odd number sizes), then I'd really find a guide that says what can typically be adjusted useful.
I'm probably an "in between size" for OTR/RTW and always on a budget, so deal hunting and knowing the extent of what tailoring can do would help sooo much when I shop!
