    I picked up a vintage Jaeger LeCoultre womens watch a couple days ago, but, I know absolutely noting about it. I am hoping maybe somebody on here can help me with a model or a value.

    It is a small square womens watch;
    It has a (18k) gold case and buckle
    The watch is curently sitting on what loks to be the original Crocodile band
    It has a very nice looking blue MOP dial with two small hands that also appear to be gold
    It has the hang tag attached if that matter
    and the only numbers on it are "13999 38"

    Post on the Timezone forum, under the JLC section. Some of those dudes have an incredible amount of knowledge and will be far more likely to ID it.

    Where did you get it from btw?

    I got it at an flea market, it was buried in a bunch of junk. It looked really nice and it caught my eye. Especially when I saw the 18kt stamps lol

    What's the movement look like? Is it definitely authentic?

    Wife picked up a Patek at a flea market for $50. Looked pretty good until you opened it up and the movement was obviously a cheap generic one.

    It was a half joke, but only half. People here suggested you find out more about it (partly to check it had a authentic movement inside) and you said 'who cares! I sold it and made money anyway!'... We're both assuming the person who bought it knows what they're talking about, but if you sold it stating it was authentic (not saying you did) without having verified then it's a ethical grey area there...

    I can see your point, however the watch was authenticated by a jeweler that sells vintage watches. Then I went into a pawn shop of all places where they offered me $950 for it, so i sold it to them... They will probably make a profit but, I wanted it gone because it was next to impossible to sell elsewhere.

    If only there were a website where you could list items in an auction and sell to interested parties all over the world. Sucks that there isn't.
